Entrepreneur Tip #1: Write a Plan
Every business owner running a start-up or an established brand needs a plan to guide all company decisions.
Writing down your vision for your business is a crucial first step for new business owners and a crucial ongoing practice for seasoned entrepreneurs.
And make sure all of your employees know the plan inside and out. Heck, include them in the process of generating the plan. When they need to make a decision, they are already fully aware of the company’s end goal, and a quick reference of the plan can act as a reminder to help guide their choices.
The Plan
Write down your strategic plan for sales, marketing, financing, operations, and other company areas. Even if it’s just one or two pages, the plan will keep everyone on the same page and moving in the same direction.
Plans are great guides but be ready to zig or zag as the growth of your business dictates. Stick to your plan and your objectives until it’s obvious you need to switch things up, such as when a pandemic impacts the way you service your customers, and the way you do business.
There is power in mapping out your vision for your business.
